HC Deb 25 February 1926 vol 192 cc734-5W
Captain FAIRFAX

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the total number of men invalided for tuberculosis in 1924 and in 1925; how many were either pensioned or given final awards; and what was the average figure of the pension or award per head in 1924 and 1925?

Mr. DAVIDSON

The total numbers of men invalided for tuberculosis were

1924 156
1925 217

All men invalided were granted pensions or gratuities according to the scales laid down, but I regret that the average award cannot be stated without considerable research.
