HC Deb 25 February 1926 vol 192 c742W
Mr. MACLEAN

asked the Minister of Labour how many officers are employed by the divisional offices of the Ministry of Labour to go round the Employment Exchanges scrutinising title to benefit of the claimants; how many of the claims examined by them have been disallowed; and how many of those disallowed claimants appealed against the disallowance and had their claims admitted on appeal?

Sir A. STEEL-MAITLAND

As regards the first part of the question, the numbers vary from time to time. Officers are allocated to this duty, among others, according as circumstances require and permit. I regret that the information asked for in the last two parts of the question is not available.
