STEEL-MAITLANDI am satisfied both from reports which I have received and from what I have seen myself of their activities that the juvenile unemployment centres are fulfilling the object for which they were designed. I am always prepared to consider sympathetically any proposals from local education authorities for additional centres or for the development of those now open, provided that these proposals come within the scope of the current scheme.
