asked the Minister of Labour the number of unemployed registered at the Exchanges in the County of Fife, giving, as far as possible, the number of unemployed miners, textile workers, building trade workers, and dockyard workers, respectively, for each week during the present year?

The total number of persons on the registers of Employment Exchanges in the County of Fife at the beginning of each week in the present year up to 8th February is as follows:

Statistics of unemployment in particular industries are only compiled at monthly intervals and relate solely to persons insured under the Unemployment Insurance Acts. At 26th January, 1926, the numbers of insured persons in the County of Fife recorded as unemployed and classified as belonging to the industries stated and for all industries were as follow:
