HC Deb 21 May 1924 vol 173 c2222W
Sir W. de FRECE

asked the Minister of Pensions if he will state exactly what are the conditions which govern grants by the Special Grants Committee; and how much money is at the disposal of this body for helping applications made to it?

Mr. MUIR

The powers of the Special Grants Committee to make grants in special cases are exercised subject to Regulations made under the War Pensions Acts with the approval of the Minister of Pensions and the Treasury. The estimated expenditure of the Special Grants Committee for the current year is £269,900.
