HC Deb 22 July 1924 vol 176 c1139W
Mr. E. HARVEY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, seeing that the frontiers of Abyssinia and the Sudan have never been ratified, this matter was discussed between representatives of His Majesty's Government and the Regent of Abyssinia during the visit of Ras Tafari to this country; and with what result?

Mr. PONSONBY

The possibility of delimiting on the ground those portions of the Abyssinian frontier where this operation has not yet been carried out was discussed with His Imperial Highness Taffari Makonnen, who was in agreement with His Majesty's Government as to the desirability of completing such delimitation. The practical steps to give effect to these wishes will be considered in consultation with the Governments of the territories concerned.
