HC Deb 26 April 1923 vol 163 c715W
Mr. ALLEN PARKINSON

asked the Minister of Pensions if he is aware that an allowance of 13s. 9d. per week has been made to the widow of the late Private Joseph Green, Vauxhall Road, Wigan, to support her and five children under working age; and, seeing that this man was in receipt of a 100 per cent. pension up to the time of his death, which occurred seven years and two months after his discharge, will he reconsider his decision with a view to making better provision for the late soldier's dependants?

Major TRYON

I am personally looking into the facts of this case with my Medical advisers and I am hopeful that it may be found possible to make a higher award under the amended provisions of the Warrant.
