HC Deb 17 April 1923 vol 162 c1891W
Mr. A. T. DAVIES

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether contracts open for the supply of agricultural implements and engineering tools ' and machinery abroad are regularly communicated to manufacturers in Great Britain; and what are the methods employed to prevent delay in the supply of such information to manufacturers?

Lieut.-Colonel BUCKLEY

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part, in order to avoid delay, full particulars of such contracts are sent by post immediately upon their receipt from abroad to all interested firms who register at the Department of Overseas Trade and pay a small fee. They are also published in the Board of Trade Journal and in the technical Press.
