HC Deb 12 April 1923 vol 162 cc1325-6W
Mr. DARBISHIRE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he is aware that the German Government has recently undertaken to allow goods contracted for and ready for shipment before the French occupation to be shipped free of licence and duty provided that the French and Belgian Governments will grant like facilities; and if he will make representations to these two Governments with a view to their falling in with the proposals of the German Government so that goods which have been held up for months may be set free for export?

Mr. McNEILL

I would refer the hon. Member to the statement made by the President of the Board of Trade in his speech in this House on 28th March.
