HC Deb 04 April 1922 vol 152 c2060W
Captain TERRELL

asked the Lord Privy Seal whether, in view of the serious issues involved, he will be able to offer facilities for the passage of a Bill raising the limit of £100 liability of railway companies for fires caused by sparks from engines?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I understand that this Bill would be of a contentious character, and in present circumstances I cannot promise the grant of any special facilities.
