HC Deb 01 March 1921 vol 138 c1628W
Major HOWARD

asked the Minister of Food the names and addresses of persons or firms with offices in Great Britain through whom the Government purchased flour or wheat from China, and the amount of such purchases in each case?

Mr. McCURDY

It is a most unusual commercial practice for a buyer to disclose details as to his sellers, and I do not at present see that any public interest would be served by departure from this custom.
