Mr. HARMSWORTHA note such as indicated in the hon. Member's question has been received, and will be laid before Parliament, together with the reply, with the least possible delay.
Mr. ORMSBYGOREasked the Prime Minister whether any proposal to form a Middle Eastern Department, either under a separate Minister or under the Colonial Office, is now under the consideration of the Government; if so, when a decision on this matter may be expected; whether it has been definitely decided that Mesopotamia and Aden are to be transferred from the control and supervision of the India Office and a pledge given to Sir Percy Cox to this effect; and when this transfer will take place?
