HC Deb 29 November 1920 vol 135 c933W
Mr. SWAN

asked the Prime Minister whether the British Government has put forward to the League of Nations Assembly or to the relevant Commission any proposals on the subject of disarmament: if so, what were those proposals; and, if not, what instructions have been given to Delegates on this question?

The PRIME MINISTER

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. The second part, therefore, does not arise. It was not considered advisable to fetter the British Delegates with any instructions on this difficult question. They have full freedom of action, subject to such consultation with His Majesty's Government as they may think necessary.
