HC Deb 03 May 1920 vol 128 c1725W
Mr. SWAN

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the great hardship that the people in the Weardale and Teesdale districts are suffering due to coal shortage, families having been without coal for over a fortnight, although living near to coal mines; and what steps, if any, are being taken to get a proper supply of coal to each family in each area as per ration allowance?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

The question of shortage of supplies of household coal to the Weardale and Teesdale Districts is being enquired into and I will communicate further with the hon. Member as to the result.
