HC Deb 03 May 1920 vol 128 c1725W
Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware of the distress and unemployment in Hull due to the embargo on coal exports from that port; and whether some proportion of the coal allowed for export from Great Britain can be allocated to the port of Hull in the near future?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I regret that owing to the need to safeguard inland supplies of coal, it is not yet practicable to resume export of coal from the Humber ports.
