YOUNGasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the fact that treatment for syphilis by means of arsenic- 1339W cal drugs approved by his Department is now virtually compulsory, he will recommend compensation being given to the dependants in cases where a fatal result may reasonably be attributed to the treatment; and, if not, whether he will consider the desirability of repealing the provisions of the Venereal Diseases Act, 1917, which penalise the treatment of these diseases by other than registered practitioners?
