HC Deb 04 November 1919 vol 120 c1338W
Captain TERRELL

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that the Army is still retaining men who are expert in plumbing and similar work connected with the construction and maintenance of houses; and whether he will make representations to the War Office with a view to their being immediately released for service in connection with the many housing schemes?

Dr. ADDISON

I understand that arrangements have been made to accelerate the general demobilisation of men stilt serving in the Army, which, generally speaking, will render both voluntarily enlisted men and men who enlisted under the Military Service Acts eligible for demobilisation at early dates.
