§ Major BARNETTasked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether warrant officers, non-commissioned officers, and men on the married establishment are entitled to half-fare vouchers for their wives and families when proceeding on their annual leave; and, if so, whether, having regard to the high railway fares 1419W now prevailing, he will consider the possibility of extending this privilege to all serving officers who have been promoted from the ranks?
§ Mr. FORSTERThe arrangement referred to by the hon. Member applies only to warrant officers, non-commissioned officers and men on the married establishment who are permanently quartered at home stations. It is not proposed to extend the concession, which could not be limited to officers who have served in the ranks.
