§ Major BARNETTasked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether quartermasters in the Army receive the allowances and bonus but not the pay of their rank; and, if so, whether, in view of the greatly increased cost of living, he will consider the desirability of granting the pay of their rank to these officers who are for the most part without private means?
