HC Deb 04 August 1919 vol 119 cc51-2W
Captain D. HALL

asked the President of the Board of Trade if the Railway Executive will take into consideration the delay which takes place in the transport of goods and merchandise, particularly in the conveyance of empty packages, in view of its effect upon businesses and of the fact that it is not altogether due to the shortage of labour and coal; and if they will see if anything can be done to remove this grievance?

Sir A. GEDDES

The Railway Executive Committee are fully alive to this matter and are taking such steps as are possible to improve the situation.
