HC Deb 21 March 1918 vol 104 c1192W
Sir T. ESMONDE

asked the Minister of Munitions if steps will be taken immediately to provide Messrs. Butell Brothers and Company, of Enniscorthy, with a supply of premier jus to enable them to carry on their margarine factory, which is now practically stopped by reason of the lack of this ingredient; and when Messrs. Butell may expect a shipment of it?

Mr. CLYNES

I have been asked to reply. Five tons ofpremier jus were allotted to Messrs. Butell Brothers, of Enniscorthy, on the 12th March, out of a shipment which had just arrived at Liverpool, and which was the first available for some considerable time. Weekly allotments of refined oil have also been made to this firm in sufficient quantities to enable them to manufacture margarine without the use of animal fat.
