HC Deb 15 April 1918 vol 105 cc51-2W
Colonel WEIGALL

asked the Undersecretary of State for War, in the case of. an officer who has lost a leg on active service and has been supplied at the expense of the State with an artificial limb and has subsequently resumed duty, whether, after twelve months' wear and tear of the artificial limb as the result of the duty, the necessary repairs are chargeable to the officer; and whether, if this Regulation is in force, immediate steps will be taken to remedy this state of affairs?

Mr. HODGE

In the case of officers resuming duty after being provided with artificial limbs at the expense of the State, renewals and repairs resulting from such duty would be paid for out of public funds.
