HC Deb 21 May 1914 vol 62 c2159W
Mr. DUNCAN MILLAR

asked the number of applications for small holdings received from Lanarkshire since the Act of 1911 came into operation; the number of holdings constituted; and the number of schemes in course of formation?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

One hundred and eighty-nine applications for new holdings and three for enlargements have been received from Lanarkshire, but of these 102 of the applicants for new holdings have indicated that they want land in counties other than Lanark. Three holdings have been constituted, and three schemes are the subject of negotiation with proprietors.
