§ Mr. RUNCIMANA large number of cases of American gooseberry mildew have been reported to the Board in recent years. The Order which deals with this disease requires the removal and destruc-2160W tion of all affected parts of the bushes in the early autumn. Where the Order has been strictly enforced by the local authorities the amount of disease has been considerably reduced.
