HC Deb 20 June 1912 vol 39 cc1977-8W
Mr. CLYNES

asked the Secretary to the Treasury what action he proposes to take in the case of firms who have issued forms to their employés asking them to state the name of any approved society that they belong to and to state whether they are willing to join a society selected by the management?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I have no legal power to prevent such forms being issued. The Commissioners are taking the greatest care that in none of their arrangements is there anything which will require an insured person to disclose the name of his society to his employers, and such forms as those referred to are issued without either right or excuse under the Act.
