HC Deb 18 June 1912 vol 39 c1632W
Mr. KING

asked the President of the Board of Education the terms of the agreement between the Manchester local education authority and the managers of the voluntary schools in Manchester in respect of school pence; and whether he can state how much was paid to managers for purposes other than school maintenance out of the amount arising from the school fees, namely, £1,905 16s. 2d., which were paid in voluntary schools in Manchester last year?

Mr. J. A. PEASE

I must refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave him to-day on the subject of agreements between local education authorities and managers as to school pence. During the year ending 31st March, 1911, the Manchester local education authority paid to the managers of voluntary schools within its area the sum of £506 18s. 11d.
