HC Deb 04 December 1912 vol 44 cc2304-5W
Sir JOHN BARRAN

asked the President of the Local Government Board whether he has given further consideration to the dangers arising to the public from the increase of motor vehicles of the coupe, or enclosed seat, type; and when he will be in a position to make an announcement on the subject?

Mr. BURNS

I have had some further inquiries made on this subject, and I am led to the conclusion that some restriction in the use of the type of motor car referred to is desirable in the interests both of the public generally and of the occupants of the car. I am considering the precise form which the restriction should take.
