Captain FABERasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state whether, under the National Insurance Bill, the employer or the servant keeps the stamped card in the event of the servant being discharged; and, in the event of the discharged servant accusing the employer of never having stamped the card, what protection the latter has?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEThe servant keeps the card. A dispute of the sort contemplated by the hon. and gallant Member would be governed by ordinary principles of evidence; the most important evidence being the presence or absence of the stamp, or its traces, upon the card.
