HC Deb 21 February 1911 vol 21 c1879W
Major HENDERSON

asked the Postmaster-General if he can hold out any hope in the immediate future of being able to sell eighteen penny and twelve halfpenny stamps for 2s. in the books of stamps issued by the Post Office; and if he will state the amount received from advertisements in the alternate leaves of the books in question?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

As I stated when replying to a question in this House on 21st November last, the change desired by the hon. Member will be effected, with some other postal reforms, at the time of the Coronation. The cost of manufacturing books of stamps will be covered from the revenue derived from the advertisements they will contain.
