HC Deb 16 February 1911 vol 21 c1417W
Mr. GOLDMAN

asked the Secretary for War whether, in view of the opinions of eminent medical men as to the national importance of establishing a standard for bread containing a minimum of 80 per cent. of the nutritive value of wheat, and the announcement of a number of British milling firms undertaking to supply the required quality, he will consider the desirability of adopting standard bread for use in the Army?

Mr. HALDANE

The question of the supply of standard bread is receiving consideration.
