HC Deb 16 February 1911 vol 21 c1430W
Mr. LAURENCE HARDY

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture, which of the administrative recommendations made by the Select Committee on Hops have been given effect to by the Board; and especially whether statistics as to conditions and prices in foreign markets, new methods of culture and curing of hops, and the extent and use of foreign hops in this country have been prepared for circulation amongst hop-growers?

Sir E. STRACHEY

The Select Committee recommended that information as to improved modes of cultivation and the latest statistics of the foreign trade and industry should be placed at the disposal of hop growers, and the Board have given effect to this recommendation so far as it is at present in their power by publishing from time to time articles and information as to crop prospects in their Journal. We hope to be able to do more in this direction. I shall be glad to supply a list of the articles already published to the hon. Member.
