HC Deb 05 April 1910 vol 16 c392W
Mr. FLAVIN

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state if the untenanted lands on the Miss Brown property at Cahirdown, Listowel, have been offered for sale to the Estates Commissioners for division amongst the poor people of the district; have the lands been purchased; and, if so, when will they be divided amongst the poor; and whether he is aware of the feeling in the district that the labourers and economic holders are entitled to a division of the lands?

Mr. REDMOND BARRY

The estate of G. D. Gun-Browne, to which the hon. Member presumably refers, has been acquired by the Estates Commissioners who-have referred the papers in connection with it to one of their inspectors with a view to the lands being distributed as soon as possible.
