HC Deb 04 November 1909 vol 12 cc2146-7W
Mr. DELANY

asked the Chief Secretary whether the Estates Commissioners have received representations from Michael Guilfoyle, asking to have the position of his allotment on the estate of Captain Cald-beck, Ballacolla, Queen's County, changed so as to include the portion of untenanted land already allotted to John Drennan; and can he say whether the Commissioners intend to act on those representations?

Mr. BIRRELL

The Estates Commissioners cannot trace the receipt of the communication referred to.

Mr. DELANY

asked the Chief Secretary what is the cause of the delay in putting the persons into possession of the allotments of untenanted land on the Caldbeck estate, Ballacolla, Queen's county, seeing that those allotments were made by the Estates Commissioners' inspector last February; and whether he can say when possession will be given?

Mr. BIRRELL

As I have already informed the hon. Member in reply to the question asked by him on 22nd June last, the proceedings in this case have been retarded by the death of the owner. The Estates Commissioners have not yet obtained possession of the estate.
