§ Mr. HALDANEThere has been no official list of newspapers for War Office advertisements for many years. Local advertisements are issued under the direc-536W tion of the military authorities of the various commands, who are instructed to select those papers which from the character and scope of their circulation appear to be the best suited to give the desired publicity.
