HC Deb 19 May 1909 vol 5 c532W
Mr. SHEEHAN

asked the Chief Secretary whether within the past few weeks agreements have been signed on the Colthurst estate, county Cork, by tenants who remained outside the original sale; whether the tenants so signing have been included in the estate for the purposes of this sale by the Estates Commissioners, and that the bonus of £12 per cent. shall be paid on the amount of their purchase money as well as on that of the other tenants; and, if so, whether any objection will be raised by the Estates Commissioners to including Patrick Walsh, a tenant on the estate of the Misses Peed, county Cork, in the original sale, if he now signs his agreement?

Mr. BIRRELL

I would refer the Hon. Member to my reply to the question asked by him on the 17th instant. In the case of purchase agreements entered into after the 24th November last a bonus of only 3 per cent. is payable.
