FARRELLasked the Chief Secretary whether any originating statement or request has yet been lodged with the Estates Commissioners to purchase the untenanted lands of Clonfin for distribution amongst uneconomic holdings in North Longford; and, if not, will the Commissioners communicate with the agent, Mr. Deane, of Dublin, on the subject, asking the cause of the delay?
§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Estates Commissioners inform me that proceedings for the sale of this estate were instituted in October last under the Irish Land Act, 1903. The property will be dealt with in its order of priority.
