HC Deb 27 July 1909 vol 8 cc1138-9W
Mr. FLYNN

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether the Estates Commissioners received an application from an evicted tenant, Timothy Horgan, claiming reinstatement on the lands of Claraghtlea South, estate of MacCarthy O'Leary, barony of Duhallow, near Millstreet, county Cork; are the Commissioners aware that the said tenant and the landlord's representative made a declaration on oath before a magistrate as to the bona fides of this man's claim, and sent the same to Mr. Vaughan, one of the Commissioners' inspectors; will they say what action was taken thereon by the inspector; and what steps they propose to take to procure the reinstatement of the evicted tenant?

Mr. BIRRELL

The Estates Commissioners have received and inquired into the application of Timothy Horgan as the representative of his father, a former tenant on this estate, and have decided to take no action in this case.
