HC Deb 02 December 1909 vol 13 c583W
Major COATES

asked the Postmaster-General why the scheme of rotation introduced in reply to the memorial with regard to the allocation of preferential and special duties to sorters in the London Postal Service, forwarded to the Postmaster General on 2nd July, 1907, has been applied only to a limited number of such duties; and whether the Postmaster General will now give instructions for the scheme of rotation to be applied to all preferential and special duties, many of which have a 9 a.m. to 5.p.m. attendance, performed by sorters in the sorting offices of the London Postal Service?

Mr. SYDNEY BUXTON

The scheme has so far been applied experimentally to the writing duties in the Controller's and Postmasters' Offices, but will be extended to the other duties referred to.
