HC Deb 02 December 1909 vol 13 cc583-4W
Mr. FLETCHER

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider the possibility of accelerating the first delivery of letters in Hampstead so that the delivery might be completed by eight o'clock a.m., as men of business, those residing in the Fordwych, Narcissus, and Nassington roads, complain that they have to leave home before their letters arrive?

Mr. BUXTON

The first delivery in all the subordinate districts of the London postal area—into which class Hampstead falls—is timed to finish at or about 8.30 a.m. I regret that I cannot see my way to arrange for an earlier delivery in the streets mentioned.
