To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what plans she has for humanitarian aid for the states of the former Yugoslavia. [85985]

We are committed to respond to humanitarian needs wherever the need exists in the states of the former Yugoslavia and elsewhere. Our objective is and remains to enable the refugees from Kosovo to return to a safe and secure environment.

An emergency assessment team is currently in Kosovo making an evaluation of the most urgent humanitarian needs. We will continue to work closely with the UNHCR and other international organisations and donors.
