§ Clare ShortThe Department for International Development provides £26 million support for the volunteers working on overseas development projects. Experience has taught us all that such volunteers should be skilled and experienced. This makes overseas volunteering largely inappropriate for the Millennium Volunteers Programme but final decisions have not yet been made.
