To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will list for the latest available year the value of benefits paid by his Department to claimants in the(a) Liverpool and (b) Wirral areas. [72185]

1. Other centrally administered benefits that could not be shown in the table are: War Pensions, Family Credit, Child Benefit, Earnings Top-Up, Disabled Working Allowance, and Invalid Care Allowance.

2. Liverpool consists of Knowsley, Liverpool Mersey, Liverpool North and Sefton Districts. The BA local offices which make up these districts are: Liverpool Huyton, Liverpool Kirkby, Liverpool Belle Vale, Liverpool Edgehill, Liverpool Garston, Liverpool Toxteth, Liverpool Breckfield, Liverpool West Derby, Liverpool Bootle, Liverpool Crosby and Southport.

3. Wirral is one BA district with Birkenhead and Wallasey local offices.

4. Figures are provisional and subject to change.
