To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what measures his Department is taking to encourage young people to enter the farming profession with particular reference to hill farming. [20370]

In addition, Regulations laid on 3 December 1997 will help new entrants to sheep and suckler cow farming to obtain quota from the national reserve.
