He conducted further inquiries into the purported activities of Brian Nelson and certain members of the Army. As stated in my reply of 2 May,Official Report, column 160, a direction of no prosecutions was issued on 17 February 1995.

§ Sir John WheelerIn respect of the supplementary reports which were forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions (Northern Ireland) on 25 April 1994, 18 October 1994 and 24 January 1995, the director concluded that there was insufficient evidence to warrant prosecution of any persons. A direction of no prosecution was issued on 17 February 1995.
