To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what organisations will be represented on the panel which will assess the bids to carry out work on children's play. [20989]

Assessment of any bids to do work on children's play will be made by my Department in consultation with the Sports Council.

Mr. Kilfoyle

To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what funding he is making available to the National Voluntary Council for Children's Play in 1995–96. [20827]

For the period April to September 1995, the National Children's Bureau is receiving a grant of £13,500 from the Sports Council Trust Company for the National Voluntary Council for Children's Play.

Interested organisations will shortly be invited by my Department to bid for funds to carry out work in certain specified areas of children's play from October 1995. Future funding of the NVCCP will depend upon the outcome of that process.
