asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have inquired of the US Administration, or been informed by it, of the purpose for which it is still developing the Milstar satellite system (which was originally intended to provide worldwide communications with which to conduct nuclear war over six months, and is currently expected to cost 27 billion dollars), and what effect the deployment of this system would have on Britain's Trident system.

Milstar is a US national military space programme in which the UK Government is not involved. It is not in any way related to the deployment of the UK's Trident system.
