HL Deb 19 May 1994 vol 555 c17WA
Lord Kennet

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the US Administration shares with them satellite-derived ballistic missile tracking data collected by USAF Defense Support Programme spacecraft; whether the US Administration has discussed with them its intention of sharing these data with Russia (Aviation Week and Space Technology, 11th April); and what data are to be contributed by Russia.

Viscount Cranborne: The United States distributes relevant data from its Defense Support Programme within a NATO forum, which includes the United Kingdom. Decisions on the countries to which this information may be provided, and on what contributions from other nations may be incorporated, are a matter for the United States.
