Whether they are discussing with France the development of a satellite-based ballistic missile early warning system that would be separate from that operated by the USA but interoperable with it (Aviation Week and Space Technology, 11th April 1994).

The UK continues to explore with allies, including France and the US, the potential for collaboration on possible future ballistic missile defence systems. This includes discussion of the possibilities for future system development of satellite early warning.
