Mr. Morgan

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what representations he has had from the Committee of the Welsh Districts and the Assembly of the Welsh Counties in relation to reporting-back procedures for Welsh delegates to the European Community Committee of the Regions.

Both the Committee of Welsh Districts and the Assembly of Welsh Counties have written to me regarding various aspects of the proposed report-back body. I have also recently written to both associations inviting them to consider the establishment of a forum which could hear the reports of the Welsh members of the Committee of the Regions. I await their responses.
