HC Deb 18 October 1993 vol 230 cc19-20W
Mr. Corbyn

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what reports he has received on the future investment programme of the Barking to Gospel Oak line: and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Freeman

It is for British Rail to decide which projects to take forward and what priority it should be given until our plans for the privatisation of rail services can be implemented. However, I understand that Network SouthEast is looking at ways of improving the service on the north London lines, including that between Gospel Oak and Barking.
